Free Will

Free Will

Our Will Must Match God’s Will

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

– John 3:16

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”

– 2 Peter 3:9

whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.”

and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.”

– 2 Timothy 2:26

And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.”

– 2 Corinthians 11:14

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”

– John 8:44

So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

– Revelations 12:9

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

– John 10:10

But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”

– 2 Corinthians 11:3

For false Christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”

– Romans 8:37

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

– Ephesians 6:11

But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do,I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.”
‘Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’ ?” Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.’
  • Crucify the Flesh!
  • I’m thankful I have been set FREE by the Blood of Christ!
  • I’m thankful Jesus has set me FREE!
  • Who the Son sets FREE is FREE indeed!
