“Knock-Off” Faith – Part 1

For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?”

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

– Romans 10:17


For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.”

– I Corinthians 13:12

The condition of your heart affects your ability to hear.


An un-willing heart makes a deaf spiritual ear. A willing heart makes a willing ear.


So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

And how shall they hear without a preacher?”

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.”

– I John 2:20

Faith doesn’t come just from reading your bible. Unless you hear from God while your reading it.


But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”

– Matthew 4:4
