“Knock-Off” Faith – Part 2

“Knock-Off” Faith – Part 2

For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?”

– Romans 10:13-14

So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

Don’t mix up reasoning and revelation.

And the Lord said to me, ‘Tell them, “Do not go up nor fight, for I am not among you; lest you be defeated before your enemies.” So I spoke to you; yet you would not listen, but rebelled against the command of the Lord , and presumptuously went up into the mountain. And the Amorites who dwelt in that mountain came out against you and chased you as bees do, and drove you back from Seir to Hormah. Then you returned and wept before the Lord , but the Lord would not listen to your voice nor give ear to you.”

– Deuteronomy 1:42-45

What is great faith? God you are right, I will do whatever you say!
